Climate Change

Climate change refers to significant and lasting changes in the Earth’s climate, particularly an increase in average global temperatures, primarily caused by human activities such as burning fossil fuels, deforestation, and industrial processes. These activities increase the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, which trap heat and disrupt natural climate patterns. Climate change results in a range of environmental impacts, including rising sea levels, more frequent and severe weather events (like hurricanes, droughts, and floods), changes in precipitation patterns, and shifts in ecosystems and wildlife populations. Addressing climate change involves efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, enhance energy efficiency, and adopt renewable energy sources, as well as adaptation strategies to cope with its unavoidable impacts.
